If a website gives a detailed guide for measurements, I feel more confident when ordering. Many people do not mind waiting if they understand what is going on. Cheap frames can look nice at first but bend easily or become loose after a few weeks.
If anyone is interested in real user experiences, I sometimes write short notes about the shops I test.

From my experience, communication with the store can tell you a lot. Having a tracking number that works on common sites is very convenient. I have learned to avoid items that look extremely different in every product photo. Personally I like a mix of design, comfort and realistic pricing. I enjoy reading threads where people honestly share what worked and what failed for them. If you sit in front of a screen for many hours, these small features make a difference.
