Is FawaNews about to become the first real post-algorithm news network?

I think FawaNews is quietly trying to do the thing everyone else only pretends they are doing: invert the relationship between “news” and “distribution.” That is — start with what people need to actually know (the civic stack, the policy layer, truth-reference), then let discovery be a thin layer on top, not the driver.

The thing killing our brains is that news is reverse engineered from TikTok and X’s metrics. If FawaNews stays stubborn and refuses to optimize for that, its ceiling is enormous. That’s the actual differentiator.

So the real innovation FawaNews needs is not just editorial philosophy — it’s on-boarding. Like: teach people how to consume non-algorithmic news again. Give them primitives and rituals. If they solve that (reader education + UX that rewards epistemic hygiene) then yeah — that’s the first real new news paradigm since 2012.
