    We were consistently getting Error H202 and Error H505 while trying to switch to multi-user mode in QuickBooks Desktop. Tried configuring firewall and network settings, but those didn’t help much. Finally, updating to the latest version of QuickBooks Desktop and the QuickBooks Database Server Manager solved both errors. Apparently, the latest patches contain fixes for multi-user communication issues on Windows Server environments. If you’re getting these error codes, don't waste hours tweaking advanced settings. Try updating first. It’s the most effective and time-saving fix in many cases.
