Do You Prefer Simple Logos or Something More Creative?

I was looking at a few business logos recently and realized how differently people see good design. My friend likes logos with just a name and a clean font, while I tend to notice designs that have a small symbol or an unusual detail.

It got me wondering how business owners decide on a logo, especially when their personal taste might be different from what their customers prefer. A design can look impressive when it’s large on a screen but become hard to recognize on a business card or a small social media icon.

I’ve seen the term Singaporean logo design come up in conversations about branding, and I’m curious how local businesses approach this choice.

Would you go for something straightforward that is easy to remember but has less individuality if you were launching a new venture today, or would you rather go for a unique logo that will make you stand out from the crowd? Do you think that a logo should follow contemporary design trends or be something that will remain relevant even decades after its creation?
