Hello everyone.
I'm looking for advice on the most efficient and effective methods for keeping my pool clean. I have a standard in-ground pool and would love to hear from others on what equipment and cleaning routines they use.
Specifically, I’m interested in the best vacuum systems, filters, and tips for maintaining water clarity. Should I focus on brushing the walls regularly, or is there a better alternative? Also, any advice on tackling stubborn algae or keeping up with leaves and debris would be greatly appreciated.
Looking forward to your suggestions and experiences!

For efficient pool cleaning, use an automatic pool vacuum like the Dolphin Nautilus or Polaris 9650iQ, which scrubs and vacuums the floor and walls. Regularly clean or backwash your filter—whether it’s cartridge, sand, or DE—to ensure optimal performance. Brushing the walls once a week is important, but using a robotic vacuum with wall-cleaning capabilities can make this less frequent. To tackle algae, maintain proper chemical balance and use a shock treatment when necessary. For leaves and debris, use a skimmer net daily and consider a pool cover during off-seasons to minimize debris buildup. Pool cleaning becomes much easier with these consistent habits and equipment.
